ASU Recruitment Info
ASU holds two recruitment periods during the school year. The first is at the beginning of the Fall semester. It is a formal recruitment consisting of a week long process consisting of Greek Orientation, Open Houses, and ending with Bid day. All rushees are required to attend these events. This is when the majority of people join fraternities. Also, fraternities may extend open bids to rushees that did not participate in formal rush.
The second is an informal recruitment at the beginning of the Spring semester. There is usually just one night where fraternities may have an open house and invite rushees to attend. Rushees are not required to attend these and may receive an open bid starting on the designated bid day.
There is no fee for participating in Recruitment, but there is a fee if a rushee accepts his bid. We strongly recommend for rushees to participate in the formal recruitment, even if they are not sure if want to join a fraternity, so that they may meet as many people as possible and find the right fraternity for them.
